UTStarcom, Inc., disclosed that on Oct. 15, 2007, it received a notice of default from U.S. Bank National Association, as indenture trustee, pursuant to which the Trustee asserted that the Company was in default of certain obligations under the Indenture, dated as of March 12, 2003, as amended by the First Supplemental Indenture, dated Jan. 9, 2007, as further amended by the Second Supplemental Indenture, dated July 26, 2007, between the company and the Trustee with respect to the company's 7/8% Convertible Subordinated Notes due 2008 (CUSIP Nos. 918076AA8 and 918076AB6).
