Secure Computing Corporation reported a net loss of $10.1 million for the third quarter ended Sept. 30, 2007. This compares to a net loss of $8.2 million for the same period last year. Revenues for the quarter was $60.0 million, which represents a 37% increase in revenues compared to $43.7 million in the same quarter last year. The Company's consolidated balance sheet at Sept. 30, 2007, also showed strained liquidity with $92.0 million in total current assets available to pay $127.0 million in total current liabilities.

The Company relies on patent, trademark, copyright, and trade secret laws, employee and third party nondisclosure agreements, and other methods to protect proprietary rights. The Company currently holds a number of U.S. and foreign patents relating to computer security software and hardware products. The patents are broad and fundamental to information security computer products. It also relies on trade secrets and proprietary expertise, which it seeks to protect, in part, through confidentiality agreements with employees, consultants, and other parties.
