Sprint Nextel Corp. reported $29.4 billion net loss for the 2007 fourth quarter ended December 31, 2007 from $261.0 million net income for the 2006 fourth quarter. For the full fiscal year ended December 31, 2007, the Company incurred $29.5 billion net loss compared to $1.3 billion net income of fiscal 2006. Consolidated net operating revenues in the quarter were $9.8 billion, compared to $10.4 billion in the fourth quarter of 2006. Full-year 2007 revenues were $40.1 billion versus $41.0 billion in 2006. In the quarter, the Company recorded a non-cash goodwill impairment charge of $29.7 billion. At December 31, 2007, the Company's balance sheet showed total assets of $64.1 billion, total liabilities of $42.1 billion and a total shareholders' equity of $21.9 billion.
